Today we speak with Marieta from Quiero una boda perfecta (I Want a Perfect Wedding). I was eager to read her answers to the #VillaisTest.

Marieta’s work is wonderful and inspires brides and professionals at the same time. Her blog is a key reference and I love everything she does but what I love above all is her passion and dedication.. I simply love it!

1. First things first. Your dream wedding takes place… in daytime or nighttime?
I got married in daytime and it was perfect, but the option of having an outdoors evening or night wedding and being able to decorate it with light garlands really seduces me.

detail of wedding book

2. Spring, summer, autumn or winter? Every season has its charm.
I like Spring for weddings but Winter ones with warm elements appeals to me more and more everyday.

3. Some of the most spectacular weddings of these past months had a full sleeve wedding as the star. What’s your take on that? Yes or no to full sleeve bridal gowns?
Of course yes, I think they provide elegance to the bride and adds class, femininity and sophistication.

4. White will always be white, the color of brides. Is it changing or will it still be the most chosen color?
White will keep on being the main color for the dress. Very few brides dare to change the color completely and choosing to use small colored details is the answer for those more risk taking brides.

5. What item should never be missing from a bride’s wedding day emergency kit?
Let’s see… Kleenex are a must, no doubt about it, so that you can cry your happiness out.

6. Bachelorette party with friends or with your couple? 😉
I choose with friends like on a reunion or a dinner sharing secrets, a spa, a beauty treatment, a good talk… Every idea is good for a girls night out.

7. Time for one of the most sensitive decisions for brides: the hairstyle: updo, braids, down? Which one do you prefer?
Prior to making that decision you must know what dress you will be wearing to your wedding. Depending on it you can make that decision on updos or hair down. It’s a tough one but I must confess I love updos with braids.

8. Headdresses?
It depends on the headdress. Not every headdress is perfect for a wedding. Not all of them fit all of the dresses so is a decision on the whole look. If I had to choose my favorite headdresses brand it would be Suma Cruz.

9. Would you say veils would still be a trend on 2016 dresses?
2016 brings back veils as a trend for the season. We’ll see a lot brides wearing them this year.

10. Who is the designer that left a bigger mark on you?
I’ve always admired Jordi Dalmau because he reinvents brides with every new design he makes, he’s an artist. But I,ve also leaned towards Pronovias, the Catalonian brand, since they have transformed their style and designs these past years and they made the right call.

11. A trend for 2016 no one should miss on their wedding…
The colors quartz pink and serenity blue by Pantone are perfect to add a touch of color on the bride and the wedding decoration. But the trend I really like the most are two piece dresses, specially with a crop top as a fantastic choice for a daring yet feminine look.

12. Pick a dress from Villais or CALA…
The model Tallo really caught my eye from the collection Villais Couture with its v-necks and transparent full sleeves. It’s a mermaid style dress with a transparent train and a central godet.

It’s great to read so many great insights, Marieta has a gift to see a little bit further than the rest. I hope these ideas serve as inspiration for you as much as they did for me.

Thank you very much, Marieta… Always a pleasure!

Bodas con Love Noelia Santacreu

I’m thrilled to bring you another Villais Test!

Today it’s Noelia Santacreu’s turn, from Bodas con Love. If you still haven’t seen her work better hurry up, you are going to love it as much I do.

Noelia and her team work in wedding design, organization and planning and they are really good at it. They’ll make your dream wedding a reality! That’s the reason I’m glad to listen to her opinions. Even more so because their take on weddings is really similar to ours. It’s very #CustomMade.

1. First things first. Your dream wedding takes place… in daytime or nighttime?
Nighttime, full of little lights to recreate the stars and candles everywhere.

2. ¿Spring, summer, autumn or winter?
I can say without a doubt that Summer is my favorite season but it’s difficult to pick one for a wedding. All of them have their charm.

3. Some of the most spectacular weddings of these past months had a full sleeve wedding as the star. What’s your take on that? Yes or no to full sleeve bridal gowns?
It really depends on the season the wedding takes place and of course on the type of wedding and bride. Best thing is always to stick to your own personal style and try to be as natural as you can that day. Otherwise the bride will feel she’s wearing  a costume.

4. White will always be white, the color of brides. Is it changing or will it still be the most chosen color?
White is the go to color when it comes to weddings although we see brides taking more risks and get to see different colors.

5. What item can never be missing from a bride’s wedding day emergency kit?
A backup pair of shoes and a makeup bag to take care of the makeup along the day.

Sonia Santacreu of Bodas con Love

6. Bachelorette party  with friends or with your couple? 😉
With friends of course. I love the idea of getting together with all those friends you don’t see a lot and live a great week of memories and activities to fit everyone’s tastes: a wine tasting, a spa day, a cooking class or an adventure weekend.

7. Time for one of the most sensitive decisions for brides: the hairstyle: updo, braids, down? Which one do you prefer?
The same as with the dress the best thing to do is to be yourself and natural so if I have to choose I’d go for a semi updo for the ceremony and banquet and then the hair down for the party.

8. Headdresses?
Absolutely, I love headdresses whether they are natural flowers or even jewely ones.

9. Would you say veils would still be a trend on 2016 dresses?
Yes but only for religious ceremonies. I love brides wearing veils!

10. Who is the designer that left a bigger mark on you?
That’s a tough one but I must choose one I’d say the one that better defines my character and style is Otaduy or Laure de Sagazan.

11. A trend for 2016 no one should miss on their wedding…
Botanical and bohemian. The more natural and simpler the more beautiful it’d be.

12. Pick a dress from Villais or CALA…
Both collections are divine but I pick the CALA collection, specially the Hawai and Symi models.

That was great! A real pleasure to have you here for our Villais Test. And if you still don’t know Bodas con Love don’t miss their work. It’s really interesting.

New Test Villais! I really love to know your opinions and favorite trends. It helps me alot with my work. Thanks a lot for the support!

Today we have a talk with Lorena Calabuig Embiz from Eventos Clandestine. I like everything she does! In addition we share the same philosophy: “be yourself is what makes you different”. She creates unique, customized and very special events or in a word, #CustomMade.

Eventos Clandestine

We emailed Lorena because her point of view is very relevant for us. Read her answers below.

1. First things first. Your dream wedding takes place… in daytime or nighttime?
Daytime without a doubt but it can depend on the time of year.

2. ¿Spring, summer, autumn or winter?
Autumn and spring, but each year we like winter more and more.

3. Some of the most spectacular weddings of these past months had a full sleeve wedding as the star. What’s your take on that? Yes or no to full sleeve bridal gowns?
Full sleeve is feature that must look good in order to wear, not every sleeve fits with every body so it’s a matter of what looks good on you. A bride is spectacular when she decides well or is properly advised.

4. White will always be white, the color of brides. Is it changing or will it still be the most chosen color?
We think white will prevail as brides’ favorite since it has several shades that adapt to every skin shade, hair color and so on…

But more brides are making their bet on other colors like rosy tones, greens or dark brown. Those are the ones we get asked for more and more.

5. What item can never be missing from a bride’s wedding day emergency kit?
A sewing kit, of course, along with safety pins, band aids, pain relieving insoles or comfortable footwear and makeup.

6. Bachelorette party with friends or with your couple? 😉
Well, it depends on the plan. If it’s with friends we would recommend beauty sessions, a spa appointment and dinner or even a relaxing weekend in a nice rural hotel getting ready for the big day.

Eventos Clandestine

7. Time for one of the most sensitive decisions for brides: the hairstyle: updo, braids, down? Which one do you prefer?
We always choose the most natural option for each bride, whatever she feels comfortable wearing while still looking great. We really like semi-updos.

8. Headdresses?
Of course! Why not? We love daring brides that look for something different.

9. Would you say veils would still be a trend on 2016 dresses?
Classics never die but we’d go for a risky one with a hint of color.

10. Who is the designer that left a bigger mark on you?
We wouldn’t be able to pick just one but we love Helena Mareque’s style.

11. A trend for 2016 no one should miss on their wedding…
Two piece dresses in minimal style.

12. Pick a dress from Villais or CALA…
From the Villais Collection we pick Tarso and form CALA we love model Hawaii

Nightime.

2. ¿Spring, summer, autumn or winter?
End of summer (September).

3. Some of the most spectacular weddings of these past months had a full sleeve wedding as the star. What’s your take on that? Yes or no to full sleeve bridal gowns?
Yes, without a doubt.

4. White will always be white, the color of brides. Is it changing or will it still be the most chosen color?
I think in the following years brides will adapt to new fashion trends and each year’s color pallette. We see brides using a touch of color with shoes, veils and headdresses more and more everyday. Even on their dress.

7. Time for one of the most sensitive decisions for brides: the hairstyle: updo, braids, down? Which one do you prefer?
Well, it depends on a number of things: the hair itself, the dress, shape of the face, makeup… The most important thing is to feel comfortable and natural with whatever style one chooses

8. Headdresses?
Yes.

9. Would you say veils would still be a trend on 2016 dresses?
Yes.

10. Who is the designer that left a bigger mark on you?
Laure de Sagazan, her designs are outstanding. Very feminine and elegant while still creative and different from anything else.
